JKAP has won the DDC Chairman polls in Srinagar and Shopian districts
The J&K Apni Party (JKAP), a new regional party floated post August 5, 2019 in Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday won two District Development Council (DDC) Chairman posts with the help of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), denting the prospects of the Gupkar Alliance that had its eye on heading all 10 districts in the Valley.

At Anantnag, Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg inaugurated Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme, 2021 at Maternity & Childcare Hospital Anantnag. The DC started the campaign by administering oral anti-polio vaccine drops to the newborn infants in presence of CMO and Superintendent M & CCH Anantnag.
CMO Anantnag, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad on the occasion informed the DC that 146152 children will be administered pulse polio drops in the district. He added that 650 pulse polio booths have been setup in the district, besides, 14 transit booths have also been established for the effective and successful implementation of the programme.

JAMMU, Jan 18: Series of activities were held across Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to mark the beginning of National Road Safety Month.
The day witnessed inaugural functions, walkathons and awareness rallies organized by respective district administrations.
JAMMU: The 32nd National Road Safety Month was today inaugurated by Transport Commissioner, J&K Pardeep Kumar, with the flagging off a Walkathon-cum-Awareness Rally, here at Gulshan Ground.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the guest of honour on the occasion.
SRINAGAR: The Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), Dr Syed Mohammad Abbas on Wednesday informed that no case of the bird flu has been reported in the Kulgam district so far and people need not to panic in this regard.
