AUSTIN, Texas After a challenging 13 months, Austin is undergoing a spring cleaning as visitors and residents begin to return to the heart of the city.
The Downtown Austin Alliance (DAA) and Visit Austin teamed up with the city s hospitality community to spruce up Austin s front of house and get it ready for new visitors. We know that people love coming here and we want that return to work and downtown to be seamless and smooth, said Matt Macioge, director of operations at DAA.
The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a program for individuals interested in learning more about the fundamentals of archery. The free program, “Outdoor Skills, Basic Archery” will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at MDC’s Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center at 201 Riviera Drive in Joplin.
Topics covered at this seminar include nomenclature, hand set, bow set, pre-draw, stance and more. All archery equipment will be provided by MDC staff. Please dress for the weather, do not wear open-toed shoes, and bring a lawn chair and water.

Get ready to hear our Northland neighbors cry bloody murder as radical housing changes at the federal level hope to alleviate an upcoming eviction crisis.
Even better, we want to give a shout out to a
BRILLIANT COMMENT FROM A KICK-ASS TKC READER.
Here s the word . . . Just so I understand, eviction moratorium last year and record breaking number of homicides. And the claim is evictions lead to increase in homicides? Ok. Got it.
Brilliant.
Think about that for a second . . . Half-a-dozen journalists and dozens of support staff worked to publish that Sunday newspaper front page report but a comment that completely debunked the screed was probably written before/after/during a toilet break.
