Vincent Williams Named New Secondary Assistant Superintendent for West Fargo Public Schools

Superintendent Beth Slette announced Monday afternoon that Vincent Williams has accepted the position as secondary assistant superintendent. Williams began his career in education as a high school social studies teacher at Fargo North High School in 2004. In 2014–2015, he served as the assistant principal intern at Kennedy Elementary School in Fargo, followed by a year as the assistant principal intern at Fargo’s Lincoln Elementary School. In 2016, he accepted the position as the assistant principal and English learner coordinator at Woodrow Wilson High School. He was the principal at Fargo’s Discovery Middle School from 2017 – 2020 before being named principal at Sheyenne High School in 2020.

West Fargo Exchange Club names April students of the month

Kallod’s parents are Darren and Michelle Kallod. Kallod was nominated by Lori Anderson for the West Fargo Exchange Club’s Student of the Month. Kallod has been involved in the West Fargo High School Band, the Euphonium Solo Festival, has earned two Regional Stars and another Star at State. Kallod was in All-State, played in the UND Honor Band and played in the pit orchestra for three years. Micah also played the electric bass for Jazz Ensemble during all four years of high school. Kallod participated in the West Fargo Summer Arts Intensive Program in the production of Footloose. He is a member of National Honor Society and a has been a member of the WFHS Trap Shooting team for all four years of high school, lettered and went to All State.

West Fargo Exchange Club names students of the month Written By: Wendy Reuer | × The West Fargo High School Student of the Month for May is Emily Larsen. Larsen’s parents are Kristen and Matt Larsen. Larsen was nominated by Ruth Joyce for the West Fargo Exchange Club’s Student of the Month. Larsen has been involved in National Honor Society and has participated in both soccer and volleyball during high school and this year Larsen was a team captain for the soccer team. She is part of Sinfonia Orchestra and is second chair violin. Emily has lettered in academics all of her four years of high school as well as received eight athletic varsity letters, and one letter for fine arts.

Lisa Vasichek, lead school nurse, named Classified Staff of the Year

Lisa Vasichek, lead school nurse, was awarded the 2021 – 2022 Classified Staff of the Year Award. Written By: Wendy Reuer | × West Fargo Public Schools’ lead school nurse, Lisa Vasichek, was awarded the 2021 – 2022 Classified Staff of the Year Award. Vasichek came to West Fargo Public Schools in 1994 as a part-time school nurse. In 2007, she transitioned into a full-time role and was eventually named the district’s lead school nurse in 2013. During her 27 years with the district, she has provided nursing services to students at South Elementary School, Sheyenne High School, West Fargo High School, Cheney Middle School, Aurora Elementary School, L.E. Berger Elementary School, Horace Elementary School, Harwood Elementary School, Westside Elementary School, Eastwood Elementary School and the Lodoen Kindergarten Center.

Rep Armstrong takes questions from Sheyenne High School seniors

KVRR Local News The politician held a Q&A with high school seniors April 1, 2021 WEST FARGO, N.D (KVRR) Congressman Kelly Armstrong stops by a local high school for a Q&A session with the seniors. “It’s part of what we do it’s one of my favorite things to do in office” said Armstrong. The senior class at Sheyenne High School get the chance to have a Q&A with Armstrong. The class shared their opinions on a variety of issues and got feedback from their representative. “I want them to know if they have a question they can reach out to us if it’s something they care about they can reach out to us.” Armstrong added.
