Drake Batherson scored twice in the game and added a helper as well. The only other goal scorers for Ottawa were Nikita Zaitsev who registered an empty net goal and Artem Zub who recorded a goal on the first shot of the game. Also, Shane Pinto made his NHL debut and he assisted on the last goal of the game. The result was the Senators’ first shutout since March 26, 2019 when the Ottawa Senators blanked the Buffalo Sabres 4-0 when Craig Anderson did the work in net.
