Managing Editor Nick Hausman discussed the influence of Brian Pillman on the industry as well as current AEW talent being included in the anthology. “Obviously it’s a great feeling to know that all these years later, the talent still speak so highly of Brian, and there’s that kind of welcoming working relationship in the wrestling business that allows the talent to to kind of spread their wings and do some of these projects,” Dombrowski expressed. “I was so happy to have Chris Jericho involved. So happy to have Matt Hardy involved. Certainly guys like Mark Henry, and Shane Douglas and Dr. Tom Prichard added so much and I got to give a lot of credit, as far as boots on the ground, to Brian Jr.

Podcast: Shane Douglas wrestles with four separate fractures at ECW Wrestlepalooza '98

Let s take a trip back to 1998 for this Straight Shooters deep dive. Extreme Championship Wrestling continued its ascent into the national spotlight in 1998 as Paul Heyman increased the number of pay-per-views in the United States from three the previous year, to four. Wrestlepalooza what a name, huh? was the second pay-per-view of the year for ECW, following Living Dangerously in March. The company would invade enemy territory at the Cobb County Civic Center in Marietta, Georgia, a World Championship Wrestling home base, but you probably wouldn t know based on the fan reaction. ECW fans were a special breed good or bad and they certainly had their company s back down south. And ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Shane Douglas, exploited that with a promo that eviscerated Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair, and we have the unedited audio of that in this show. [

Ice Train Recalls "Beating The Hell" Out Of JBL During Their Match

Former WCW star Ice-Train sat down with The Shining Wizards Podcast to talk about his career. Best remembered as part of the tag team Fire & Ice with Scott Norton, Ice Train revealed that both men kind of took the team for granted. “I was a little bit different back then,” Ice-Train said. “I believe that I treated Scott Norton bad because, I didn’t respect his knowledge that he had, and at that time I didn’t want to be a tag team partner. I just thought I was ready to be on my own.  But not understanding that concept of the business, me and Norton never even had an hour of conversation.  We were totally different characters.  Now, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve said to many people ‘I apologize.’
