Bernard makes UAE move
Bernard has left Everton after signing for Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
A year after a switch to Nasar fell through, an agreement to transfer the Brazilian has been reached as first reported by Greg O Keeffe of The Athletic.
Bernard was signed on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk but struggled to hold down a first-team place under Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti.
His move to the UAE Pro League is believed to have garnered Everton a nominal fee of around £1m as well as freeing up between £120,000 and £150,000 a week in reported wages.
Time To Move On
Jump to last I don’t think many people will like this article, or agree with it. You might hate me for it. Time to move on means what it says – and it’s what I’ll be doing.
Like many ToffeeWebbers, I have been supporting Everton since I was a youngster. When I was 7 years old, my family moved to Liverpool, though I was already a confirmed Blue by then thanks to my Dad, who had previously lived in Liverpool from 1958 to 1966.
My Dad likes to tell the story of how he came to Liverpool as a young man (from Belfast) and went to watch Liverpool one week and then went to watch Everton the next and sensibly chose the latter. He said Liverpool just didn’t feel right, plus they were in the Second Division and shite, which made the decision even easier.
Conservatism, Conspiracies and Counter-intuition
Jump to last Farhad s come up with another one, hasn t he? Like a gambler on a long losing streak, big-priced bets followed by odds-on shots, with one thing in common: torn-up betting slips.
To be fair to Moshiri, most gamblers keep swinging until things change, but that s often because their strategy works in the long run. Farhad is clearly a patient man. without an apparent strategy.
I didn t have a strong view on the candidates. I don t know enough about most of them to have a strong view and, frankly, I m punch drunk after so many managers in recent times. This appointment is right out of left field. Let s try and explore the workings of Moshiri s mind.

Fabian Delph was not on the plane when Everton s squad flew out to Orlando today because he has had to self-isolate and will miss the Florida Cup which is now down to just two teams.
The midfielder was pinged by the Government s COVID-19 track-and-trace system and was advised to quarantine after coming into contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.
“Everton can confirm that Fabian Delph will not travel with the squad to the Florida Cup in Orlando as a precautionary measure after coming into contact with someone who has since tested positive for Covid-19,” read a club statement.
