CBP Officers in Chicago Seize Shipments Containing Counterfeit Money from China Details Written by IVN Chicago, Illinois - At Chicago’s International Mail Facility (IMF) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers  recently seized two parcel arriving from China that held different denominations of counterfeit currency totaling more than $136,000. On January 28, officers at the IMF held two parcels for inspection that were arriving from the same shipper in China. The officers inspected the shipments to determine the admissibility of the parcels and its contents. The first shipment contained 957 counterfeit $100 dollar bills and 44 counterfeit $50 dollar bills totaling $97,900.  In the second shipment were 384 counterfeit $100 dollar bills. In total, $136,300 of counterfeit currency was seized under Counterfeit U.S. Currency, Coins or Government Securities.

Indian national held at Chicago airport with 3,200 Viagra pills worth USD 96,000 PTI Washington: An Indian national was held at the Chicago airport for unlawful import of 3,200 pills of Viagra worth over USD 96,000, according to an official statement. The passenger, whose identity has not been revealed, had travelled back to the US from India and was caught with the tablets during a baggage scan, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said in a statement Friday. The officials said the passenger was held by the authorities after he could not give a satisfactory justification for carrying such high quantity of Viagra tablets.

6 Feb 2021 A man allegedly attempted to go through customs at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport Thursday carrying 3,200 erectile dysfunction pills he claimed were for his friends. “The nine pounds of pills, worth nearly $100,000, were a generic Viagra brand sold over the counter in India, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP),” ABC 7 reported. Agents seized the pills Thursday upon the passenger’s return from India. When agents asked the man why he had the tablets, he said they were for his friends. “Officials said prescription medications manufactured in non-regulated foreign companies often contain dangerous contaminants or ineffective compounds,” WGN 9 reported.
