DUNDALK HAVE CANCELLED today’s training session and ordered a round of Covid-19 testing following a team bonding trip to Belfast last Saturday.
Members of the squad were photographed in Belfast over the weekend, in contravention of national Covid restrictions on inter-county travel which have since been eased.

DUNDALK have cancelled training for Tuesday morning with the players to be tested for Covid-19 instead.
The move came after photographs appearing to show several of its players in Belfast were published online on Sunday night.

The FAI have contacted Dundalk
Pictures were posted on Twitter which showed, amongst others, Sean Murray and Sonni Nattestad in the Shaftesbury Square area of the city.
Their publication prompted the FAI to ask Dundalk to clarify the circumstances surrounding the visit.

Football, eh? It’s a funny old game. Sometimes they think it’s all over… then it’s not, then it might be and eventually no one knows anything anymore.
Last week was a bonkers week for all football fans who were crazily scrolling through social media feeds on their phones to get the latest breaking – sometimes actually ‘breaking’ - news.
It seemed, at every level of the professional game last week, that things were coming apart at the seams. The Barbarians were here, and someone had left the door on the latch.
With sadness Roy’s family announce his peaceful passing on April 24, 2021 after many years of health concerns.
He was born September 24, 1934 in Bifrost, Manitoba then moved to Port Arthur now Thunder Bay at an early age with his mother Rose. They settled on Water Street where he was able to watch and keep up with city events and growth.
His early schooling began at Central School therefore he was pleased to see it preserved to become part of Magnus Theatre. His interest in sports started with basketball at Port Arthur Tech. As an adult he was involved with 5 pin bowling winning many trophies. In later years he turned to curling where he also excelled. On several occasions he had the pleasure of being host driver for teams participating in bonspiels held locally.
