A Golden Jubilee Committee was formed in December 2019 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
UAE Golden Jubilee Committee governs year-long grand celebrations marking 50 years of UAE
ABU DHABI, 16th March, 2021 (WAM) President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared 2021 Year of the 50th , in the UAE, as the nation celebrates its milestone Golden Jubilee. Year of the 50th officially starts on April 6th 2021 and lasts until March 31st 2022.
The declaration is coupled with the announcement of year-long initiatives, activities, and grand celebrations that will be governed by the UAE Golden Jubilee Committee under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Deputy Chairwoman. The committee has members representing various federal and local departments.

UAE leaders to chair govt retreat to boost development

The UAE leaders will chair a government retreat tomorrow, February 22, to draft a strategic framework for the country’s development vision for the next 50 years.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will chair the retreat.
