تنافس نينوى بغداد بعدد الاحزاب والافراد المرشحين للانتخابات المبكرة، رغم ان مقاعدها في البرلمان نحو نصف مقاعد العاصمة. ويقترب عدد التيارات المشاركة في الانتخابات التشريعية في المحافظة الشمالية من حاجز الـ200 كتلة وائتلاف وفرد.
بالمقابل يزيد عدد المرشحين عن الـ400 مرشح، يتنافسون في 8 دوائر، لشغل 34 مقعدا مخصصا لنينوى.
وبحسب اسماء المرشحين فان نينوى ستستبدل نحو ثلث البرلمانيين الممثلين للمحافظة، حيث قرر 12 نائبا فقط عدم الترشح من جديد.

Afghan forces regain control over two districts in North: Defence Ministry ANI | Updated: Jul 11, 2021 08:29 IST
Kabul [Afghanistan] July 11 (ANI): The Afghan Ministry of Defence on Saturday confirmed that security forces have regained control over Ali Abad district in Kunduz and Yaftal district in Badakhshan province. There was a lot of pressure on the terrorist group but they finally handed over the districts, Tolo News reported citing Abdul Matin Qudosi, member of Parwan provincial council. We have a great morale and ready to retake other areas, said Mohammad Haikal, Ali Abad district chief.
The official assured that they will not let the terrorist group pose threat to the Ghazi district.

LAHORE: The Defence police on Saturday arrested four persons for breaking into the residence of Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal.
The cricketer had called 15 and informed police that the armed men had entered his house and tortured him and his family. He further alleged that the intruders were also drunk. Police arrested the men and registered a case against them. One of the suspects nominated in the case was identified as Sheikh Ali.
A police official said the suspects had arrived in a car at the Phase V residence of Mr Akmal and they told police that they were fans of the cricketer and wanted to take a selfie with him. During the interrogation, they denied having any other bad intention as well as the allegations of making entry into the premises of Mr Akmal’s property.
