Police arrest suspect on complaint of victim’s father

Reportedly, the boy had gone for tuition when he was molested by a man.
Police arrested the suspect and registered a case.
In the case filed by Abdul Farooq, a resident of Mohalla Khizrabad Batala Colony, it was stated that his 12-year-old son went to the house of Muzammil Bibi for tuition. The tutor’s husband identified as Sajid Farooq took the minor boy to a room and subjected him to sexual abuse.
After the victim made noise, the suspect tried to flee through the roof of the house but was apprehended.

University students protesting against physical examinations clashed with the police and security guards outside their campuses in Lahore and Faisalabad Tuesday afternoon.
In Lahore, the students of the Central University of Punjab staged a sit-in outside their campus and requested the management to hold talks with them at 2pm.
Salman Sikander, the information secretary of the Progressive Studentsâ Collective, said that the UCP students started gathering outside the campus at 11am. The students were holding placards and chanting slogans against the administration.

LAHORE: The Punjab Religious Tourism and Heritage Committee, headed by Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, has decided to chalk out a master plan for the renovation of the most sacred place of the Christian community – Ziarat-e-Muqadas Maryam.
Sarwar also announced installation of a filtration plant at the Maryamabad Church and ordered expediting the construction of a road from the Sheikhupura Road to Maryamabad at a cost of Rs 66 million. The committee is working for the renovation of holy places of all religions across the province to promote religious tourism. In a meeting, Sarwar said he himself visited the Ziarat-e-Muqadas Maryam (Maryamabad) and other places including the church.

Rescue 1122 personnel pulled victims out of the rubble

KURIANWALA:
A young worker was killed when the wall of a cotton factory collapsed in Khurrianwala area on Wednesday.
Rescue 1122 officials said that 19-year-old Wasim Allah Dutta and 21-year-old Saleem, the son of Zafar Hussain, were working at the cotton factory when the wall collapsed over them.
The victims were trapped under the rubble.
A Rescue 1122, on receiving information, reached the accident site where Wasim succumbed to this injuries while his colleague was severely injured when he came under the debris.
Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the injured to the hospital after providing medical treatment.
