NORTHFIELD The Selectboard unanimously approved a proposal Tuesday for Northfield EMS to provide emergency services to the Millers Falls section of Erving, allowing the EMS department to increase its call volume and thus secure additional revenue.
EMS Chief Mark Fortier and EMS member Camron Kennedy came before the Selectboard to discuss the proposed expansion. Northfield EMS, in addition to serving Northfield, currently provides services to Bernardston.

LEVERETT A search for a 69-year-old man missing from a Dudleyville Road property remains suspended as Leverett Police continue to seek more information from the public, according to Police Chief Scott Minckler.
Minckler wrote in an email Wednesday that the extensive search for Richard Drury, which involved more than 55 emergency responders and others in the woods on Dec. 15 and Dec. 16, was suspended by the Dec. 17 snowstorm. But Minckler said police are continuing to work on the case.
“We are still attempting to locate relatives of Mr. Drury,” Minckler wrote. “We are following up with all information we receive.”
Search continues for missing Leverett man

LEVERETT An extensive search for a man who has been missing from his Dudleyville Road home for several days is continuing.
Leverett Police Chief Scott Minckler said Wednesday that the search for Richard Drury, 69, was in its second day in the area of Dudleyville Road, between the Moore’s Corner section of Leverett, where the Leverett Village Co-op is located, and the Shutesbury town line.
Police officers were assisted by Leverett firefighters, Leverett Highway Department workers, Massachusetts State Police and Environmental Police, as well as the Greenfield Fire and Police departments. In addition to people searching on foot, the crews have used K9s, all-terrain vehicles, a drone and a helicopter without finding Drury.
