Alabama soldiers on quarantine after guarding Biden inauguration

Some Alabama National Guard soldiers remain quarantined and are following COVID-19 protocols after returning from duty in Washington during events surrounding President Joe Biden’s inauguration, guard leaders told Gov. Kay Ivey this week.
Adjutant General Sheryl Gordon told Ivey a “small” number of the over 750 state soldiers and airmen sent to Washington “were impacted by the COVID-19 virus during this mission.” She did not specify the number but said without good leadership it could have been more given the presence of over 25,000 soldiers and airme

Masks, hand sanitizer and telework became routine as our workforce moved to safely and effectively adjust to the pandemic. The employees of Redstone Test Center executed these precautions while making 2020 one of RTCâs busiest and most productive years yet with more than a million direct labor hours conducting test and evaluation in support of our warfighters.
In support of the Future Vertical Lift Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft program, RTC experimental test pilots conducted flights of the Bell V-280 Valor in August. The flights are part of the Test and Evaluation Command preparations for the FLRAA test effort, a key element of Army nmodernization.
