ARVADA, Colo. The Arvada Police Department (APD) arrested one suspect and was looking for another in a crime spree that included several attempted vehicle break-ins and thefts early Saturday, according to a APD news release.
The incidents started about 2:50 a.m. when suspects in stolen Kia Soul attempted to break into a truck in the 7300 block of West 73rd Avenue, in the neighborhood just west of North Arvada Middle School, APD said.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Authorities in Colorado have launched a search for the person who is suspected of throwing a small dog out of a moving vehicle while on a highway in northeastern Colorado earlier this week.
The Jefferson County sheriff’s office responded to a witness report on Tuesday around 1:45 p.m. that a dog was thrown from a black sedan on Interstate 76 before Sheridan Boulevard, law enforcement officials stated.

DENVER (AP) Authorities have launched a search for the person who threw a small dog out of a moving vehicle while on a highway in northeastern Colorado earlier this week.
The Jefferson County sheriff s office responded to a witness report on Tuesday around 1:45 p.m. that a dog was thrown from a black sedan on Interstate 76 before Sheridan Boulevard, KMGH-TV reported Tuesday.
Witnesses told police it appeared the miniature poodle was deliberately thrown. Authorities said the dog was taken to Foothills Animal Shelter in critical condition where it later died.
