ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and the PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif made a formal invitation to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) to re-join the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) at dinner hosted by him for senior leaders of the opposition here on Monday.
The sources said that leadership of two opposition parties present at the dinner sought time to re-join the PDM after holding consultations within their parties.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) would not insist for resignations of the lawmakers belonging to the opposition parties in upcoming meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), sources told The News here on Sunday.
Sources in the PML-N confirmed to this correspondent that it has come to the conclusion that tendering resignations from the assemblies without the support of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would not serve any purpose and instead cause irreparable political loss to the movement of the opposition parties.
Sources, who are privy to the meetings of PDM, stated that “Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said time and again in the meetings of PDM that long march without tendering resignations would be a futile exercise, which means PDM would rethink about it and it may be delayed for unknown period.”

A PPP delegation will be at a dinner being hosted by PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif for opposition party members tonight (Monday).
It was earlier reported that PPP would make a decision on whther or not to attend the dinner after the return of PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday.
PPP sources had said the party s senior leadership supported attending the dinner reception by Shehbaz.
The party’s senior leadership was of the view that attending the dinner reception would be beneficial for the opposition to give a tough time to the PTI government in the budget session in the National Assembly.

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) President Shehbaz Sharif is a guarantor of Nawaz Sharif, and the government has decided that he will not be allowed to flee the country in any case.
