2020 was a year of changes. As various spheres of life underwent an unforeseen amount of changes and replacement, the world of entertainment got a top contender in the form of OTT platforms. With the world under a strict lockdown and nowhere to go, there was a humongous amount of OTT content that was released by leading OTT giants like Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime to name a few – that not only gave us a plethora of genres to pick from but also gave us few of the most loved and admirable characters from shows and films that we would like to see much more of in this new year.

Actor-filmmaker Rajesh Tailang, who has directed a short film during lockdown titled Trivedi Ji, has said that he would like to direct a feature film once in his life.

“I haven’t planned to direct a feature film yet, but I want to make at least one feature film in my life,” said Tailang, while interacting with IANS at a special screening of Trivedi Ji in the city.

Rajesh Tailang has his YouTube channel named Theatre Talkies, about which he said: “We make short films for the channel. I do a poetry show on it called ‘Chand Pe Chai’. Annup Sonii hosts a show on different stories called ‘Suni Unsuni: Stories with Anup Soni’. I made a few documentaries on it as well. It’s my seventh short film. I decided to make films because sometimes we get some time off from acting projects, so in that period I wanted to do some creative work.”

Makers of the hit Amazon Prime Video crime drama Mirzapur seem to have irked the folks of the real district of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh with the content of their show. An F.I.R has been registered against the show for allegedly promoting social enmity and hurting religious sentiments a few months after the second season of the show hit the web.
Arvind Chaturvedi registered a complaint against the show at Kotwali Dehat police station of Mirzapur citing problems against the abusive content, illicit relationships shown on screen and presenting the district in a negative light.
