ISLAMABAD: Five important parties, as well as other political groups, have nominated candidates for almost all the 45 constituencies of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) in the July 25 general elections.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fielded its nominees for all the seats while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have put up candidates in 44 constituencies each.
The All J&K Muslim Conference and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) have awarded tickets to their representatives on 42 and 40 constituencies respectively. The federal government proscribed the TLP in April this year under the Anti-Terrorism Act for its violent activities but has not got it de-registered by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Bilawal launches Benazir Mazdoor Card for Sindh domicile holders
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has launched ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’ for those laborers holding domicile of Sindh.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, the PPP chairman said that Bhutto Shaheed gave rights to the workers and gave all the projects including EOBI. The PPP was the first to formulate a labor policy, he added.
He said that he was happy to attend today s event adding that the labor card will benefit the workers of Sindh.

LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has announced that the PPP is prepared to fight against the ‘selected’ government even if it would have to do opposition without the support of some other parties.
“PPP is not only ready to do opposition along with other parties but is also prepared to fight alone, as the party is sure that the ‘selected’ government will be sent packing,” vowed Mr Bhutto-Zardari while addressing a gathering at Naudero House on the 42nd death anniversary of former prime minister and PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Sunday.
