SHARJAH, 20th February, 2021 (WAM) The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has called for encouraging investment in the Emirate of Sharjah.
To increase investment, the SCC seeks to provide facilities and information, while directing investors and promoting these facilities through various media outlets with periodic economic reports in all sectors to enhance investor trends for investment and development, pointing out the importance of taking into account the purchasing power between the cities and regions within the Emirate of Sharjah.
The council also called for coordination with all authorities in approving licenses, while considering the fees imposed and shortening the time for obtaining the approvals and permits needed to obtain licenses and start operating, thus making it easier for investors.
(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) SHARJAH, 17th February, 2021 (WAM) Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) confirmed that the total number of licences issued and renewed in the last year amounted to 56,493.
The economic development indicators in Sharjah achieved remarkable growth of 13 percent in the second half of 2020, bringing the total number of licences issued and renewed by the department during the second half to 33,326. The number of licences issued during this period reached 2,935, with a growth rate of 17 percent.
SEDD clarified that the number of renewed licences rose to 30,391 in the second half of 2020, with a growth rate of 13 percent, which is a positive indicator in the attraction of the investor for the emirate and to the growth of the economy in its various sectors. The Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Committee in Sharjah has shut down a commercial facility for violating preventive measures against Covid-19.
“The inspection teams, in coordination with the Sharjah Economic Development Department, are intensifying inspection raids across the emirate to ensure compliance with all precautionary measures and take action against violators,” the committee said.
All entities and individuals are urged to strictly adhere to the set precautionary measures and report any violation via 901 or e-mail: covid19@shjpolice.gov.ae.
