I m not sure this was the initial plan; there d been rumors of a coach leaving to make room for Bellamy but until Urban Meyer was hired by Jacksonville that coach wasn t supposed to be Ed Warinner. Webb reports there s a chance Warinner sticks around in an analyst role but he d be coveted as an offensive line coach if he still wants that job somewhere; he s one of the best in the country.
While Moore has overseen tight ends since breaking into coaching, he played offensive guard for Oklahoma. He s a little smaller than he was in his playing days.

When Jim Harbaugh said last Friday that he was close to making hires, he wasn’t kidding.
In the span of just over 72 hours, Michigan announced the addition of Mike Macdonald as new defensive coordinator, Maurice Linguist as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, and George Helow as safeties coach.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has hired Maurice Linguist and George Helow to be assistants on defense, the latest moves that have reshaped his coaching staff. Harbaugh announced the additions Wednesday night, adding that defensive line coach Shaun Nua has agreed on a contract extension and confirming Brian Jean-Mary will return to coach linebackers. Harbaugh hired Baltimore Ravens linebacker coach Mike Macdonald as defensive coordinator on Sunday, replacing Don Brown, who is now defensive coordinator for the Arizona Wildcats.

While Jim Harbaugh reportedly waits on the Baltimore Ravens’ NFL playoff run to end, he’s making moves to help support his new defensive coordinator.
Michigan has plans to hire Florida linebackers coach Christian Robinson, according to Friday afternoon reports out of Gainesville.
Robinson, 30, has spent the last three seasons coaching the linebackers for Dan Mullen. He had a hand in helping develop NFL draft picks Vosean Joseph (fifth round, Buffalo Bills) and Jonathan Greenard (third round, Houston Texas), all while the Gators produced a top-10 scoring defense nationally in 2019.
