(WMBF) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday night in the St. Pauls community. According to information from the St. Pauls Police Department, officers were called to the area of Shaw Street and Fourth Street around 8 p.m. Monday for a shooting. When police arrived, they found the victim, 43-year-old Kristopher Allen, who was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.

Police bust two cannabis factories in St Helens

Breaking More than 130 cannabis plants were found across the two addresses TWO cannabis farms have been discovered at addresses in St Helens this week, police have revealed. The first was found at a property in Deerfield Close, Blackbrook where they located around 40 cannabis plants and growing equipment across three rooms. A 36-year-old man from Trafford was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation. He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue. On Tuesday ( April 20), officers raided an address in Shaw Street, where they seized a cannabis farm of 91 plants along with growing equipment. The property was made safe and an investigation is underway, police add.

Maryland s Fallen Heroes Day Ceremony Will Be Live-Streamed May 7

(Shutterstock) MARYLAND In honor of police, firefighters and emergency medical/rescue personnel who died in the line of duty, the 36th annual Fallen Heroes Day observance will be live-streamed May 7 at 1 p.m. on the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Facebook page. The annual event is the only statewide ceremony in the nation that brings together all segments of the public safety community. Fallen Heroes Day, which is held each year on the first Friday in May, also is an opportunity for the public to show their appreciation for those who risk their lives every day to protect the citizens of Maryland. Including this year s observance, the ceremony has honored 190 Maryland first responders.
