Severe storm warning in place for parts of Greater Cincinnati

View Comments Update, 8:47 p.m.: Severe storm warnings have been lifted in Greater Cincinnati, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.  A number of severe storms were spotted throughout the region on Tuesday evening, forecasters reported.  A flood advisory remains in place for Dearborn and Ripley counties in Southeast Indiana until 11:15 p.m., the National Weather Service said.  Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area, forecasters said at 8:14 p.m., with between 1.5 and two inches of rain have fallen.  Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 and one inch is expected over the area, according to forecasters. 

Great Parks of Hamilton County levy: Residents can attend meetings

View Comments The five-member board will vote July 15 whether to put a levy on the November ballot.  The amount has yet to be set, but all three options being considered would be less than the 1.8-mill levy the board tried to put on the Nov. 2020 ballot. The parks board pulled the levy last year after facing public backlash.  Great Parks will host five public meetings in the next few weeks.  The meetings will be:

Timmothy Pitzen: Could an age-progressed photo help solve the case?

Pitzen s disappearance remains every bit the mystery it was 10 years ago. “It’s hard to believe that we have been searching for Timmothy for 10 long years now,” Jim Pitzen said in a release. “We believe he is out there and we hope every day that he will make his way home.” Police have not released many details over the years. They continue to say the investigation into the Aurora boy s disappearance is active and ongoing. “While we cannot comment on specifics, we are using every available resource including technology resources to help locate Timmothy,” Paris Lewbel, Aurora Police public information officer, wrote in an email. “We have received numerous tips over the years and follow up on each tip that we receive. This remains an active and ongoing missing persons investigation.”
