Joy Reid and Glenn Kirschner at MSNBC baselessly speculated about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis being involved in the DOJ investigation of Rep. Matt Gaetz.
Bret Baier reports on death of Adam Toledo and Mayor Lori Lightfoot s response on Special Report
CBS News is facing heat over a video the network shared on Twitter Thursday that critics say crops out a critical part of body camera footage showing the police chase that led to 13-year-old Adam Toledo s death in Chicago last month.
Extremely graphic footage shows a Chicago police officer pulling up to a location on the city s West Side on March 29 and immediately encountering two people, one of whom appears to be Toledo, running away from the area.
Toledo stops for a moment before he turns toward the officer, at which point the cop tells him to, Show me your f hands.

I was hot on this story about scandalous journalistic malpractice last week, so I wanted to be sure to share its conclusion. After issuing escalating and embarrassing written statements about their horrendous reporting on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and a nonexistent vaccine distribution scandal,
60 Minutes addressed the controversy on air. Anyone holding out hope for any semblance of a retraction, apology, or even a basic acknowledgment of the massive factual problems with the previous week s segment was bound to be disappointed. And so they were. Just pathetic:
Sunday’s @60Minutes ended with @Sharyn Alfonsi reading comments about her shoddy hit piece on @RonDeSantisFL. She didn’t acknowledge doing anything wrong. “Some viewers, including a retired newsman, applauded the story.” #60Minutespic.twitter.com/v5qEwT5PXc Brent Baker (@BrentHBaker) April 12, 2021
Fox News contributor Ben Domenech reacts to 60 Minutes standing by its disputed reporting on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state s vaccine rollout.
CBS News’ 60 Minutes enlisted a mysterious retired newsman to defend the controversial report about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ coronavirus vaccine rollout, but the famed newsmagazine didn’t explain who the alleged former journalist was and his identity remains a mystery.
The now-infamous 60 Minutes report suggested DeSantis, R., gave the Publix grocery store chain preferable treatment to offer the coronavirus vaccine based on its donations to his PAC, while also suggesting he withheld vaccines from minorities. CBS News has maintained it did nothing wrong, but bipartisan critics have found multiple issues with the reporting, leading the newsmagazine to address the backlash.
New York Times columnist Bret Stephens took aim Tuesday at liberals who are "unwittingly" aiding Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis with their negative coverage of the potential 2024 White House hopeful.
