A Liverpool FC player said he honestly thought he was going to be killed after a thug launched an unprovoked attack on him on a night out. Clearly intoxicated Ross Gardner attacked former LFC keeper Shamal George and his brother Lloyd Smith in March 2019.
32-year-old Gardner was today sentenced to 16 months in prison for attacking the pair, despite failing to turn up to court.
