Mongolia to launch new international airport on July 4
AKIPRESS.COM - On June 10, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene became acquainted with the new Chinggis Khaan International Airport as well as the progress of the Bogdkhan Railway Bypass Line project.
“Despite the order that was issued to put the Chinggis Khaan International Airport into operation starting from July 1, 2021, we are currently carrying out works to open the airport on July 4. There will be no flights conducted at Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport from July 4,” introduced Deputy Director of Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (MCAA) N.Myagmarsuren.
According to officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (MCAA), an operative team has been established with 38 members at the new airport so far. Prior to the opening, the aircraft at Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport will conduct test flights to the new airport.
Hidden guns, bullets found in Chui region in abandoned house
AKIPRESS.COM - A weapons and ammunition hideout was discovered in Panfilov district of Chui region, the press service of the State National Security Committee said on June 10.
Hidden weapons cache was located in an abandoned house. GKNB officers found 9 mm Makarov pistol with a magazine and 10 rounds of ammunition; 8 mm pistol with a magazine and no cartridges; rifled hunting weapons; 2 smoothbore guns of 12 and 16 caliber with 8 rounds of ammunition; RAP signal flare; cartridge; hunting knife; stiletto knife; black mask.
An investigation is underway.
