New and current DeTocqueville Society givers thanked at garden event

Snyder, Felicia Taylor, and Seth and Olivia Thompson. “Tocqueville Society members are the backbone of the Town of Palm Beach United Way,” said Nicola and Jeff Marcus. “During this time of turmoil and uncertainty in our community, they have been the leaders in providing resources and hope to people when it mattered most. We are in awe of them.” This year s Tocqueville Society campaign raised nearly $4 million, representing nearly 77% of the overall campaign.  Since its founding in 1990, members have donated more than $82 million to address the needs of Palm Beach County. Funds raised through the Tocqueville Campaign help the Town of Palm Beach United Way support 71 programs at 40 nonprofit agencies throughout Palm Beach County that in turn assist more than 450,000 children and adults each year.

Wild Turkey. Grey Goose. Pink squirrel. Moscow mule.  And our mostest favoritest, hair of the dog. More Palm Beach society news here. Then we looked at the invitation again and realized it was  Spirit Animal, not Animal Spirit. Damn lysdexia. Well, spirit animal is much easier. According to Native American tradition, our spirit animal is the raven. So we showed up dressed as a bottle of Old Crow. OK, not really.

Leukemia claims Dale A McNulty, board president of the PB Symphony

Shannon Donnelly Palm Beach Daily News Dale Archer McNulty, a longtime resident who served as president of the board of the Palm Beach Symphony, died Monday, April 26, surrounded by his family. He was 79. A devout man, he died after receiving the last rites of the Catholic Church and a papal blessing.  Born May 9, 1941, in New York, he was the son of F. Jerome and Patience, nee Mullendore, McNulty.  Mr. McNulty grew up in Palm Beach, where he attended Palm Beach Public School and Palm Beach Private School. After graduating from Fairfield University in Connecticut, he had a nearly 40-year career as a member of the New York Stock Exchange.
