Nueces County is pausing the use of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines upon state and federal guidance while authorities investigate six severe cases of blood clots in women who received the vaccine.
The Texas Department of State Health Services said Tuesday that it’s asking COVID-19 vaccine providers to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine upon the recommendation of federal agencies.
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District had 300 Johnson & Johnson vaccines remaining from a 3,000-dose shipment delivered last week, City Manager Peter Zanoni said.
