Consumer Durables stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index falling 109.96 points or 0.34% at 32595.21 at 13:48 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Amber Enterprises India Ltd (down 1.8%), Voltas Ltd (down 1.77%),TTK Prestige Ltd (down 1.39%),Rajesh Exports Ltd (down 1.05%),Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd (down 0.62%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Titan Company Ltd (down 0.27%), and Bajaj Electricals Ltd (down 0.25%). On the other hand, V I P Industries Ltd (up 6.83%), Orient Electric Ltd (up 3.7%), and Blue Star Ltd (up 0.89%) moved up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 573.13 or 1.11% at 52117.43.
Results: Tata Group s Voltas Q3 profit jumps 46% at Rs 129 crore
Tata Group company Voltas Ltd on Friday reported 46.26 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 128.64 crore for December quarter 2020-21.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 87.95 crore in the same quarter last fiscal year, Voltas said in a regulatory filing.
Total income during the period under review stood at Rs 2,046.26 crore, up 32.29 per cent, as against Rs 1,546.76 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company said.
Voltas, a leading air-conditioner manufacturer, said the cooling products business made a good recovery, post easing of the lockdown restrictions and achieved a record overall volume growth of 40 per cent.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 12 (ANI): Voltas Ltd, the air conditioning and engineering services arm of Tata Group, on Friday reported 47 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 129 crore for Q3 FY21 as compared to Rs 88 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
The profit before tax moved up by 39 per cent to Rs 166 crore from Rs 119 crore and total income by 32 per cent from Rs 1,547 crore to Rs 2,046 crore in the same period.
Voltas said the results take into account the merger of Universal Comfort Products Ltd from April 1, 2019 which was approved by the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai on September 11, 2020.
