Save Keta Municipal Assembly from bleeding - Protestors to Akufo-Addo LISTEN 3 HOURS AGO Some angry residents of Keta Municipal Assembly (KeMA) has called on President Nana Akufo-Addo led government to take steps to save the Municipality from what they called “a lot of rot, looting, stealing and white-collar robbery. The group demanded a full-scale investigation into the alleged practices of financial malfeasance, indiscriminate sharing of reclaimed lands, and misapplication of funds responsible for the retarded growth of the 33-year old Assembly and for those found culpable to face the law. The demand was contained in a petition to the President, which was read to the media at the end of a street protest organised by Concerned Citizens of Anloland to register their dissatisfaction about happenings in the Assembly.

+ The Volta Regional Chairman, Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Moses Anyigba, has said 50 members of the Association have been infected with the coronavirus disease in the Region.  “The preliminary information that I have received from all the Districts and Municipalities, we have more than 50 nurses and midwives and unfortunately we just lost one member from Ketu South Municipal Hospital.”      Mr Anyigba in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Hohoe disclosed that the pandemic was having a great toll on members of the Association, adding that, “our members are getting exposed”.      “The fact that over 50 members in the Region is infected with Covid-19 tells you that the system is being over stretched because it is only such situations that you see health workers getting exposed,” he added.
