Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police (DBPD) are working to find what led to the death of a man found in Tuscawilla Park yesterday (June 9) morning. Department spokesperson Messod Bendayan said the man was found around 7:20 a.m. face down on the ground near the zip line office building. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Bendayan said at this time, the investigation does not indicate foul play. The man is reported to be in his early 40s and DBPD is trying to notify the man’s family. They are waiting on toxicology and autopsy results. Earlier this week, on Sunday, New Smyrna Beach Police (NSBPD) were dispatched to the pond behind the 1900 block of Jungle Road. The man found floating in the pond is identified as 63-year-old Clarence Vitalis. The case is still under investigation at this time, pending toxicology results and the medical examiner’s report. ORANGE CITY, Fla. - A 92-year-old crossing guard received a huge sendoff before his retirement.
An elementary school in Orange City, Florida, paid tribute to Robert Mr. Bob Frew on the last day of his job on June 4.
Volusia County Schools District posted the video of students, staff and community members thanking him with hugs and signs.
