MUMBAI: A Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan was duped by a cybercriminal who posed as an executive of a leading airline and fraudulently took out Rs 95,000 out of the constable s bank account.

Lavkumar Yadav, 28, works with the RPF s reserve company. On April 10, he used an app to book a flight ticket to travel from Mumbai to Delhi. The flight was scheduled to leave at 1.50 pm on May 12.

Mumbai: Three persons including a 17-year-old minor were arrested by Worli police for beating a man to death at Worli for allegedly stealing their mobile phone on Sunday. One of their accomplices, involved in the murder, is on the run. The minor has been sent to juvenile remand home, said Worli police officials.
The accused identified as Saddam Shaha, 35, and Ravikumar Gautam, 25, along with their accomplices caught hold of the accused, who is yet to be identified, tied him an electric pole and thrashed him with a metal rod and sticks till he fell unconscious, said Worli police officials.

coronavirus cases during the second wave of the infection, the city saw the inauguration of two new
COVID-19 centres in

Both the newly functional COVID centres have a collective capacity of 375 beds.

Mumbai: Two held for killing 77-yr-old woman at Worli sea-face bungalow

Three days after a 77-year-old woman was allegedly killed at her bunglow opposite Worli Sea Face, the Worli police have arrested two persons including house help for allegedly killing Vishni Dolwani. The accused are identified as Amarjit Karmaraj Nishad, 22 a house help and his accomplice Abhijit Joria, 22. Dolwani was found dead around midnight on Friday, bound and gagged. Gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakh were stolen from their safe which was found open.
The incident came to light at around 12.30 am on Friday when her husband found their room locked from inside, he opened the room with duplicate keys and found her lying unconscious with her legs and hands tied while her mouth was stuffed with cloth. Immediately she was rushed her to nearby hospital where she was declared before admission. Their newly recruited domestic help Nishad was missing since the incident.
