Work on the 10.58km road from Princess Street flyover at Marine Drive to Bandra-Worli Sea Link is proceeding at a steady pace (file photo) MUMBAI: Municipal commissioner Iqbal Chahal said BMC had completed 17% work on the coastal road during Covid lockdown. The 400-metre long tunnel boring machine (TBM), which is 40 feet wide and the longest to be used in India, is now fully assembled on reclaimed land, and boring will commence from January 7, he said. Work on the 10.58km road from Princess Street flyover at Marine Drive to Bandra-Worli Sea Link is proceeding at a steady pace. Girders are being cast, piling work is under way along the entire length of the road, said a civic official.
