APO to mark diamond jubilee Business January 21, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Tokyo-based Asian Productivity Organization (APO) will mark its diamond jubilee through a virtual launch on today (January 21, 2021), a statement said on Wednesday. Pakistan being one of the eight founding members will also host an APO 60th anniversary commemorative event in July 2021. All the events consist of international conferences, forums, and concurrent side programs and will produce anniversary publications, and videos. Several declarations and statements will be aimed as the outputs of the programs. The launch marks the beginning of a year-long tribute to the 60-year productivity journey in Asia, showcasing productivity as a key enabler for the Asia-Pacific region, past, present, and future.

More sci-tech development plans to be built in 2021 15:38 | 07/01/2021 The MoST meeting on sci-tech development  Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh made the statement at a meeting held on January 6 to review performance in 2020 and set key tasks for 2021. According to Dinh, 2021 is an especially significant year for Vietnam as the country begins to implement the 2021-2025 Socioeconomic Development Plan and the 2021-2030 Socioeconomic Development Strategy. The MoST will closely work with other ministries, agencies, and local authorities on a number of key national tasks. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highlighted the achievements of the sci-tech sector. He also pointed out the shortcomingsand asked the MoST to work out the kinks in the mechanisms on tax incentives and investment to encourage investment in sci-tech.
