Siaya Senator James Orengo has said some politicians are busy making noise but are absent when needed.
He described them as ‘an old witch who runs to the road and tells those passing ‘I have blocked you’.
The Siaya Senator, who was speaking at a burial in Nyatike Sub-County, noted such leaders only made noise but were nowhere to be seen when their presence was needed.

He questioned where National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders, including Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya), were when things were ugly during Raila Odinga’s mock swearing-in at Uhuru Park.
The fallout is so deep that even the plaque at Mr Imwatok’s office at the county assembly has been removed and vandalised.
The ward representatives in the Raila Odinga-led party have also begun collecting signatures after losing confidence in the leadership of the minority whip.
The second term MCA is accused by his colleagues of allegedly using the party’s name in bad light at the county government to advance his selfish interests.
According to one of the MCAs behind the push to remove the leader, Highrise Ward MCA Kennedy Oyugi, signature collection has started with 32 MCAs already appending their signatures.
