May 13 The Idaho Youth Ranch shuttered its residential treatment center seven years ago. Since then, many at-risk children and young adults have had to seek residential treatment out of state.
The organization is working to change that. It has raised $18 million for a new residential treatment center in Canyon County to serve more than 100 youths each year.
The center will allow the Youth Ranch to expand its mission to serve the mental health needs of young people and their families, CEO Scott Curtis said.

FREMONT – As wildflower season at Spiegel Grove nears its end, the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums invites visitors to bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds and receive a discount on museum and Hayes Home admission.
Visitors can picnic among the wildflowers at Spiegel Grove, the 25-acre estate of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes and an official arboretum. Before or after their picnic, they can take advantage of a 15-percent discount on each site pass that includes the Hayes Home guided tour and self-guided museum tour or museum-only admission in their order.
