The Jindera community in the New South Wales Riverina is on cane toad alert after a female was found on a property earlier this week.

Cane toads are a biosecurity risk and can harm native animals and livestock
Murray Local Land Services Manager of Biosecurity and Emergency Services Geoff Corboy said the toad was found alive but later destroyed.
