The second backyard concert will be Aug. 11 and feature Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys. Vaadeland is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Saskatchewan. His traditional sound and interesting style could be defined as a blend of Bluegrass and Rockabilly. Vaadeland specializes mainly on banjo, guitar and vocals. He performs his music along with a variety of backup musicians who make up the Sturgeon River Boys. The performance at 1322 - 96th St. in North Battleford will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through the website at www.artisticnomadproductions.live.
