Hanoï (VNA) - Le Tribunal populaire de la province de Cao Bang (Nord) a condamné le 15 juillet deux accusés dans l affaire de d organisation des sorties illégales à l étranger.
Deux accusés que sont Triêu Van Dung, né en 1985 et Nông Van Minh, né en 1981, domiciliés tous à la commune de Minh Long, district de Ha Lang, ont été condamnés à des peines respectives de 12 ans et 6 mois de prison et de 10 ans de prison.

Notice for automatic stay extension for foreigners stranded due to COVID-19
The Viet Nam Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security has issued a notice for automatic stay extension for foreigners stranded in Viet Nam due to COVID-19.
1. Foreigners who entered Viet Nam on visa waivers, e-visas or tourist visas from March 1st, 2020 are entitled to automatic stay extension until July 31, 2021 and can depart from Viet Nam without having to apply for stay extension.
For those who entered Viet Nam before March 1st, 2020, the same automatic stay extension until July 31th, 2021 can be considered, subject to provision of proof that the person was stranded in Viet Nam due to COVID-19, accompanied by a diplomatic Note (wit

Heavy rains cause serious flooding in Lao Cai
Heavy rain early on Monday morning has caused serious flooding in many areas in the northern province of Lao Cai.
According to local authorities, up to 117 mm of rain overloaded local drainage systems.
Many families have reported flood water of some 15-35 centimetres inside their houses.
Many roads and streets in the area have also been put under water. Le Thanh Street experienced 80 centimetres of water. Other streets including Tran Hung Dao, Vo Nguyen Giap, Tran Phu were also submerged which caused congestion during morning rush hours.
