Woman’s body dumped in storage unit after apartment shooting, police say Updated May 11, 2021; VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, MI – A woman’s body was found in a storage unit after it was dumped there following a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in Wayne County, police say. It’s unclear when police uncovered the body, but they discovered where the woman was murdered on Sunday afternoon, FOX 2 Detroit reports. Police received information about a shooting at the Westlake Apartments in Van Buren Township; they believe that’s where the 31-year-old victim died. Her body was found inside a storage unit in Westland.

According to police, a 32-year-old man shot and killed the woman at Westlake Apartments before moving her body.  When police went to the apartment, they discovered the murder scene but noted that the victim s body wasn t there. Police had the name of a suspect, a Van Buren man, and located him in Monroe County.

Deputies apprehend murder suspect A murder suspect wanted in Van Buren Township has been apprehended by authorities in Monroe County, according to a press release issued by the Monroe County Sheriff s Office. Sheriff s deputies along with troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post reportedly received word late Sunday night that the suspect was possibly in the area of Colf Road in Exeter Township. Just after 12:30 a.m. Monday morning, Deputy Steven Schmidt located the suspect inside a vehicle on Martinsville Road in Exeter.  Schmidt and state troopers reportedly took the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect was turned over to members of the Van Buren Township Police Department.

The Van Buren Township, Michigan-based company said it had profit of 56 cents per share. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 33 cents per share. The auto parts supplier posted revenue of $746 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $709.7 million. Visteon shares have declined 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
