Without Getting Killed or Caught has been a labor of love. It is a documentary about the life and music of native Texan Guy Clark. But on so many levels, it is much more.
Born in the West Texas outpost of Monahans weeks before the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Clark and his family moved to Rockport on the Texas Gulf Coast, where, as a teenager, he learned to play the guitar. By the time he died in 2016 at 74, Clark was an icon of Texas music.

Beverly Ann (Paschall) Norman was received into the church triumphant on April 27, 2021 in Weatherford, Texas. Memorial services for Beverly will be held Saturday, May 1, 3 p.m. at Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery in Parker County.
Beverly was born on March 5, 1936 to Kellis and Atrelle Paschall in the family home. Beverly was a graduate of Canton High School and attended Tyler Jr. College until she met the Assistant County Agent that had been assigned to Van Zandt County. Beverly and James Norman were united in Christian marriage on May 8, 1955 in Canton Texas. James preceded Beverly in death on March 28, 2013.

Texas man arrested for contractor fraud in Rapides Parish

ALEXANDRIA, La. â The Rapdies Parish Sheriff s Office have arrested a Texas man for alleged contractor fraud in the Tioga area.
RPSO says that on Nov. 9, 2020, deputies responded to take a report of residential contractor fraud and exploitation of the infirmed that occurred in the Tioga area.
According to RPSO, deputies took the initial report and detectives assigned to the Kolin Substation conducted their follow up investigation.
RPSO say that detectives identified Fredrick Lawrence Fontenot, 45 of Canton, Texas as a suspect.
According to the Residential Contractor Fraud statute, fraud occurs when the contractor âfails to perform any work during a forty-five-day period of time or longer after receiving payment, unless a longer period is specified.â
