Cassandra Ingham, Darren Ransom and Aliehsa Chevrier came together to raise awareness of a sad situation with which they all have an intimate connection.
Ransom, a recovering addict who used for 14 years, connected with Ingham and Chevrier, who both lost their partners to accidental opiate overdoses, to “make a change.” They started a Facebook group that has grown to include thousands of members.

“We no longer want this issue swept under the rug. We no longer want this to be a taboo subject,” they say. “We truly needed and wanted to inspire change from within the city. From there, we created Silent No More, which has now amassed almost 6,000 members from all over the country.”
