St John cadets Emma Hackett, left, and Elgin Ng lay a wreath at the Havelock memorial. But his wife Marge kept all the photographs he sent back, and preserved them in hand-bound albums to tell the story of his service for him, said Tania’s son Brent, poring through the photographs on Sunday morning. “You only get more interested in them, as you get older,” Brent said, pointing out former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Winston Churchill, inspecting the troops in black and white. Richmond superstar Dustin Martin is preparing to play his 250th game against Melbourne on Saturday night – but could he get to 400?
Martin’s incredible durability has seen him miss just eight games since debuting in 2010, allowing him to win three premierships and a swag of individual awards.
