Two Michigan men who have been exonerated after wrongfully spending 17 years in prison have filed a lawsuit against the City of Inkster and two former detectives.

DETROIT (WXYZ) â The Wayne County Prosecutor s Office has charged Keyon Wilson-Ollis, 22, in connection to a triple shooting that killed a 37-year-old man and injured a 41-year-old woman and 17-year-old man the day after Christmas.
The shooting happened at a gas station in the area of 7 Mile Road and Woodward.
Investigators say the victims did not know the suspect. Police were able to apprehend the suspect shortly after the shooting at a strip mall at 8 Mile and Woodward.
Wilson-Ollis is next scheduled to be in court on Jan. 6.

Canton police say boy, 8, wounded in Tuesday shooting has died
Canton Township An 8-year-old boy wounded in a shooting Tuesday has died, officials said.
“It is with much sadness that we report the 8-year old boy succumbed to his injuries yesterday,” Deputy Police Chief Craig Wilsher said in a statement Wednesday. “An individual is in custody, and we expect to turn our investigation over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office later today.”
On Tuesday, police said the township s 911 dispatch center received a call at about 4 p.m. that a child had been shot after a firearm was discharged inside a residence on Old Michigan Avenue.
