Timothy Charles McGhee Jr. was charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Morgan Dawkins, 19, of Detroit and the shootings of Angel David, 19, and Tyree Harris, 28, both of Detroit. Dawkins was an innocent bystander, the Wayne County Prosecutor s Office said. McGhee was arraigned in 34th District Court in Romulus on first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder and felony firearm.

Detroit man, 22, arraigned in gas station triple shooting The Detroit News View Comments A 22-year-old Detroit man will be arraigned Saturday on multiple charges stemming from a triple shooting at a gas station on the city s northeast side that left one man dead and two people injured, authorities say.  Timothy Charles McGhee Jr., was charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Morgan Dawkins, 19 and the non-fatal shootings of Angel David, 19, and Tyree Harris, 28. All of the victims are Detroiters, and Harris was an innocent bystander, the Wayne County Prosecutor s Office said.  The shootings took place at about 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday (May 19) at a gas station at the intersection of Conant Street and East Outer Drive. Detroit Police were dispatched for a reported shooting and upon arrival, found Dawkins lying face down and unresponsive and the two surviving victims with apparent gunshot wounds.

View Comments RICHMOND, Ind.  A man who admitted more than 10 grams of methamphetamine were his after a 2018 traffic stop has been sentenced to 18 years in prison. Christopher Lee Curtsinger, 27, already is in the Correctional Industrial Facility in Pendleton serving an eight-year sentence from Fayette County. His Wayne County sentence will not begin until he finishes serving the Fayette County time, which is projected to be Nov. 17, 2024. Curtsinger on March 31 pleaded guilty to Level 2 felony dealing methamphetamine, Level 4 felony dealing heroin, Level 5 felony carrying a handgun as a convicted felony and Level 6 felony dealing marijuana. He also admitted being a habitual offender.

Three times since 2017, federal and state court judges have ordered a new trial for Darrell Ewing. The judges found that Ewing’s constitutional right to a fair trial was violated a decade ago by juror misconduct. Since Ewing’s conviction, another man has come forward confessing to the murder. J.B. Watson was fatally shot on Dec. 29, 2009 while at a red light in Detroit. The shooting happened at the intersection of Harper Avenue and Van Dyke Street. Prosecutors said two vehicles pulled up to the intersection and shots were fired, killing Watson.
