(WXYZ) â The Wayne County Health Department all county-run COVID-19 vaccine clinics will accept walk-up appointments during regular clinic hours.
The Wayne County Health Department is adding two new COVID-19 vaccination clinics, one in Belleville and another in Flat Rock. The expansion will increase the County’s weekly capacity to as many as 20,000 administered doses between a total of four vaccine clinics.

Wayne County is asking health care professionals to volunteer to help administer COVID-19 vaccines as the county ramps up efforts to vaccinate residents.
Wayne County Public Health is seeking volunteers to administer coronavirus vaccinations at county vaccination clinics in Taylor or Livonia. Individuals interested in volunteering must have a valid license, consent to a background check and be able to work a full-day shift, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

As Michigan prepares to expand COVID-19 vaccine eligibility Monday to those 50 and older with underlying health conditions, it cannot rely on doses of the latest vaccine to hit the market for some time.
The state won t receive any doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for the next two weeks, acting Department of Health and Human Services Director Elizabeth Hertel told lawmakers Thursday afternoon. We were notified yesterday that we would not receive any more J&J vaccine for the next two weeks, which was disappointing. But we should start seeing that allocation again in three weeks, Hertel said during the hearing.
