Investigation begins into flat fire which closed major city road
People are being urged to avoid the area
Firefighters have been called to a fire in a block of flats in Nottingham city centre.
Seven crews were sent to the blaze at Marco Island, off Huntingdon Street, at 5.40am on Friday, July 16, with people being advised to avoid the area.
The fire is on the 11th floor of the building and police and paramedics are also in attendance, alongside firefighters from Derbyshire.
Huntingdon Street is closed at the junction with King Edward Street while emergency services deal with the incident.
