Galaxy A72 vs A70 / A70s: A sequel so good you’ll pinch yourself
The Galaxy A72 was officially unveiled today at Galaxy Awesome Unpacked, and needless to say, it’s as promising as all the leaks so far have suggested. It certainly represents a leap in mobile technology over its predecessors and especially the Galaxy A70 series which is nearing its 2nd anniversary.
So, exactly how much has changed over the past couple of years? Samsung did learn a lot since the Galaxy A70 was introduced all the way back in May 2019, but has the company used that knowledge to improve the series two years down the line? It certainly looks like it has.
Galaxy A51 vs Galaxy A52: So much more than just a yearly refresh
2020 was a tough year for the mobile industry and OEMs had to quickly adapt to market changes and make the best out of a bad situation. More customers have turned their attention towards the mid-range market rather than opting for a premium device, and as far as the Android segment went, the Galaxy A51 became the world’s most successful smartphones of the year.
Samsung seemingly has a winning recipe on its hands and the company is now trying to replicate the success of the Galaxy A51 with the release of a direct sequel called the Galaxy A52. It comes in 4G and 5G variants, but more importantly, it flaunts a handful of flagship-grade characteristics that might persuade even Galaxy A51 owners to upgrade.
Galaxy A72 vs Galaxy S20 FE: Almost as good, but not quite there yet
The Galaxy A72 is official and, even before its unveiling, we explored the possibility that this new Galaxy A smartphone could become a better bargain than the rumored Galaxy S21 FE. The latter device has yet to be unveiled, but the next-best thing in line is the Galaxy S20 FE and it’s been available for months.
Samsung’s new upper-mid-range phone is getting dangerously close to the
flagship killer market territory, except it’s supposed to be priced even lower than the FE-branded models at launch. The Galaxy S20 FE may have found a true adversary, and it’s ironic that its origins lie in the humble Galaxy A series.
