Waco Family Medicine successfully kept all employees through pandemic

WACO, TX â Unlike many businesses that have gone through employee furloughs and terminations, Waco Family Medicine (WFM) has done the opposite. They ve successfully worked to retain all employees through this very trying time.
WFM has 570 employees and with their size, they did not qualify for PPP funding, like many they saw significant revenue loss over the last year. However, with grant funding, philanthropy, diligent clinical work and other innovations WFM worked through a pandemic.
WFM has taken on many new roles in this pandemic, one of them being a key contributor to COVID-19 information and help.
Waco Police have safely located elderly man that was reported missing

WACO, TX â Waco Police say they have safely located an elderly man that had been reported missing.
According to Police, 76-year-old Lawrence Wayne Marsh was last seen leaving Walmart at 600 Hewitt Dr on Tuesday at approximately 2 pm.
Marsh has silver hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue polo with black jeans and black shoes. He may also be wearing glasses.

Police identify jet skier who drowned at Lake Waco

WACO, TX â Friday, May 7, evening search crews pulled a body out of Lake Waco that they say matches the description of the missing 23-year-old jet skier that went missing Thursday night.
Saturday, May 8, authorities identified the victim as 23-year-old Daylon Dixon from Waco.
The speedy recovery is thanks to multiple agencies searching on the water and in the air.
Dixon was on a 2 seat jet ski with another woman when it tipped over.
The woman was rescued by a good samaritan on the water, but with nightfall, crews had to continue the now recovery mission early Friday morning.
