The personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) rescued those injured in the accident and evacuated the corpses from the road. The Sector Commander, Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim, confirmed the incident. She spoke through the Public Relations Officer of FRSC in the state, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi. Ibrahim told Daily Trust that apart from two persons that died in the accident, three others sustained injuries. The FRSC boss identified loss of control, speed violation and dangerous driving as probable causes of the accident. “The injured victims were taken to Wesley Hospital, Ilesa, in whose mortuary one of the corpses was kept. The other dead victim is still trapped in the vehicle”, she said.
