I refer to a July 30, 2021 article by Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby: 2nd Texas Border City Probes Catholic Charity for Releases of Migrants with COVID (www.breitbart.com/border/2021/07/30/2nd-texas-border-city-probes-catholic-charity-for-releases-of-migrants-with-covid/). Quotes from the article: The migrants were released from federal custody and booked at the Texas Inn in Weslaco the same hotel chain involved with a large group of COVID-19 positive migrants in La Joya. The hotel rooms are paid for by Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, a group that runs a migrant shelter in McAllen.
In the wake of the pandemic, a restored U.S.-Mexico Border Health Commission endowed with greater funding and a firm binational commitment to strengthened cooperation on border health could be an even greater asset than it has been in the past.

CORPUS CHRISIT, Texas â A man, who is accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal hit and run crash, has turned himself in.
The crash happened in Weslaco, Texas Sunday, August 1, 2021, at approximately 9:35 p.m. on N. Alamo Road, south of 17 ½ Road â Edinburg.
Investigators said two females, one who was eight months pregnant, were standing by their vehicle pouring gas into the gas tank when a pick-up truck struck both females.
The driver of the truck fled the scene.
