STAMFORD Students returned to a five-day-a-week in-person schedule on Monday at the city’s three public high schools.
It was the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic that classrooms at each school Westhill High School, Stamford High School, and the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering were close to full capacity.
Principals at each reported successful first days back.

STAMFORD, CT Stamford Public Schools announced Tuesday that Lisa Saba-Price has been named the new principal of Westover Magnet Elementary School.
Saba-Price, who currently serves as principal of Newfield Elementary School, will take over the position from Kathleen Wunder, Westover s current principal who is set to retire on June 30, according to a news release.
Saba-Price is scheduled to begin her new position on July 1.

A 33-year veteran of the Stamford Public Schools with 18 years of administrative experience, Saba-Price has served as principal at Newfield for the past nine years.

STAMFORD The community is mourning the death of a 19-year-old Stamford High School graduate after he was fatally shot Sunday night.
Courtney Lewis, a former standout football and volleyball player for Stamford High School, was killed Sunday night, friends told The Stamford Advocate on Monday. Police, while not releasing the name of the victim, confirmed a 19-year-old was killed after gunshots broke out during a get-together of car enthusiasts in Stamford’s West Side on Sunday.
